Job Summary

First Baptist Church of Youngsville (FBCY) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Youth Leader to guide our students in grades 7-12 toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading our youth ministry programs, fostering a safe, fun, and engaging environment for spiritual growth and community building. We are looking for a mentor and leader who is grounded in biblical truth and eager to impact the next generation in the Youngsville area.

Qualifications

  • Understand the doctrine of the church and have a willingness to serve
  • Have at least 2 years of experience ministering to youth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Once selected, become a member of the church, committed to the mission of the church
  • A growing Christian faith and character
  • A lifestyle that displays the biblical specifications for leaders (1Tim 3:1-13; 2Tim 2; Titus 1:5-9).

Responsibilities

  • Planning and leading Wednesday evening activities (music, games, video, drama, Bible study)
  • Teaching the Youth Sunday School class (FBCY will provide the material)
  • Coordinating/planning student ministry events including informing students/parents of the upcoming events
  • Leading our students in mission work in and round the area, which will include sharing the Gospel with others in, around, and outside of the area
  • Attend all worship services and major events of the church
  • Organize/delegate fundraisers, as approved by the Pastor
  • Disciple all students and provide a means to aid in their discipleship, making discipleship a high priority in helping students grow spiritually
  • Focus on in-reach and outreach by contacting students on a regular basis
  • Attend bi-weekly staff meetings as needed

Compensation

  • Salary to be negotiated during the offer of employment according to bylaws
  • Benefits will adhere to First Baptist Church Youngsville Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Guidelines for paid part-time employees.
